Scope

This page describes how this site technically handles a visit, based only on what the build of this site does. It covers the site itself, not the separate destinations its outbound links lead to.

Visit Counting

When a visitor arrives from a search engine, this site records a small set of details tied to that visit: the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of a clicked outbound button. This happens only in that arrival scenario, not on every visit. The purpose is limited to counting page views and clicks on outbound buttons for this site's own traffic figures. To stop a single page view from being counted more than once, one flag is kept in the browser for the current session; that flag lasts only for the session and does not persist beyond it.

Pages and Fonts

Each page on this site is self-contained: everything a page needs to display, including its fonts, is embedded locally and served with the page itself rather than pulled in from an outside location while the page is shown. The site is delivered as static files through a content delivery network, which handles the technical delivery of each request as the hosting provider for this static content.

Outbound Links

Links to outside destinations on this site pass first through a path on this domain before being redirected onward to the third-party site. Once the redirect completes, the third-party site receives the visitor's request directly from their browser and keeps its own separate record of that visit. The practices of any linked destination are set by that destination, not by this page, and are not described here.

Forms and Contact

This site has no forms, no contact channels, and no way to submit personal details through the site itself. There is nothing here to fill in and nothing here to send.

What This Page Does Not Cover

This page describes only the mechanisms verified in the build of this site: the visit beacon triggered on arrival from a search engine, the session view flag, the self-contained pages with locally embedded fonts, the first-party outbound redirect, the outbound links themselves, and the static hosting on a content delivery network. It does not describe, and should not be read as describing, any mechanism, script, or practice beyond that list, and it does not describe the practices of any third-party site reached through an outbound link. Readers should treat any linked destination as a separate site with its own separate handling of a visit, and should not treat this page as covering what happens once a link has been followed.
